A woman aged in her 80s was involved in a two car crash south west of Toowoomba on Saturday morning was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital  in Brisbane with suspected head and spinal injuries.

It’s believed she had been passenger in a four wheel drive, which flipped and landed on its roof after the collision. 

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics initially treated the patient, before the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue aeromedical team arrived. 

A second woman, who was also involved in the crash, was taken to Toowoomba Hospital by QAS.

It was the third motor vehicle crash RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crews have attended today.

Earlier, the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a man to hospital after he was injured in a rollover this early this morning. 

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
