The party is still going for the Maroons as the ‘worst team ever’ celebrate their 2-1 series victory after last night’s 20-14 win at Suncorp Stadium.

As always former Queensland great at perennial waterboy Alfie Langer was leading the celebrations in the dressing rooms last night along with Wally Lewis medalist Cameron Munster and by the sounds of it they pair hadn’t slowed down when (we’re guessing) sleepless Langer joined The Big Breakfast this morning.

The 54-year-old, who is currently with the team on the Gold Coast before they continue their celebrations in Byron Bay, was in a very jovial mood when he spoke to Marto, Margaux and Nick Cody

“I don’t even know where I am but it’s been a great time” a jubilant Langer told listeners

“I don’t think I’ll get on the bus, I’ve got a lot of paper work to do”

Langer, a veteran of 34 Origins, also gave insight into what coach Wayne Bennett said to the team before last night’s stunning victory

“It’s like tennis, reverse singles, we had to come out and do the same to them” a slightly tongue-tied Langer said
