Enjoy the weather today, Melbourne’s set for a wet and wild end to the week.
Wednesday will start out hot and sticky, before rain and thunderstorms lash the state.
Senior Meteorologist Tom Delamotte from the Bureau of Meteorology Victoria says we can expect showers and thunderstorms and thunderstorm developing over Victoria tomorrow, particularly in the evening.
“While it warms up on Wednesday we also see the humidity increase during the day and with that, we’ll see the risk of showers and thunderstorms during Wednesday afternoon and evening for much of Victoria,” he said.
Come Thursday there’s potential for heavy rain in Melbourne and Central areas on Thursday, with localised flash flooding.
He said there’s still some uncertainty as to where the heaviest rain will be – so they encourage people to continue to check the weather forecast.
Melbourne could see falls of 20-40mm with isolated falls of up to 60mm on Thursday.
Come Friday, it’s likely the rain and thunderstorms will continue, so watch this space.
