Brisbane mechanic Darren Sharpe made himself an Aussie legend last night when he streamed the Anthony Mundine v Danny Green fight live on Facebook.

At one stage he had more than 150,000 people watching the stream.

He even live streamed a call he got from Foxtel during Quade Cooper’s undercard fight telling him to take the stream down:

Sharpe’s stream was amongst several that caused headaches for Foxtel, who were charging $59.95 for coverage of the fight, but delighted the public.

Sharpe has had tribute memes created about him, and even a Facebook page calling for him to be installed as Prime Minister.

Sharpe is aware the Foxtel have taken a dim view of his shenanigans, and has set up a GoFundMe page to help finance his potential impending legal costs.
