Wayne Bennett has had a busy day, not only locking in triple-premiership Storm forward Jesse Bromwich to join the NRL’s newest franchise but also securing the signature of Bunnies favourite son Mark Nicholls.

The Souths connection clearly remains strong in heart of the cult hero who will be released from his contract a year early to head North and reunite with his now-former coach Bennett in 2023.

“What he gives is 100 to120 metres each game, he gives you 30 tackles and he give you 50 minutes solid effort every game”

“You can see that pattern of football he (Bennett) is putting together”
