Faith No More Frontman Mike Patton Forced To Cancel National Anthem Performance At NFL Playoffs

Faith No More frontman Mike Patton has been forced to cancel his planned performance of the national anthem during the NFL playoffs. 

Patton was scheduled to sing before the Los Angeles Rams divisional semi-final against the Dallas Cowboys. 

He took to Facebook with a simple message.

Patton was already viewed as an 'outside choice' to perform the American anthem, with broadcaster Fox Sports shying away from mainstream artists. 

Some fans vented their disappointed on Twitter.
