The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a man after he fell off a ladder and hit his head at his workplace, south-west of Gatton, around 11.20am yesterday.

The injured man was transported to the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital in a stable condition.

It followed the transfer of a second, middle-aged man who fell in his shower and suffered head injuries in an incident on the Sunshine Coast.

Since July 1, RACQ LifeFlight Rescue has airlifted 17 people who have been injured in serious fall accidents.
