Police have released a statement this afternoon as they continue to investigate a fatal, multi-vehicle crash which occurred in Woodhill this morning.
The crash, which happened just after 8am on the Mt Lindesay Highway involved eight vehicles, including two trucks, five cars and a motorcycle.
Police have confirmed the motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man from Ascot died at the scene.
The highway remains closed in both directions while investigations continue.
One person is dead, two people are trapped and multiple people are injured after a seven-vehicle crash in southeast Queensland.
Police say the crash happened on the Mt Lindesay Highway at Woodhill in Logan around 8am on Tuesday morning.
Paramedics treated a total of six people at the scene.
A teenage boy suffering rib and chest pain, and a woman in her 40s with chest pain were rescued from the wreckage of their cars.
They were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Three other patients were taken to the QEII Jubilee Hospital with general, back and neck pain, while a woman in her 50s took herself to Beaudesert Hospital. She was suffering arm and leg injuries.
A total of 7 are currently in hospital.
