It's been a devastating morning on Sydney roads, with two fatal crashes claiming the lives of two drivers.

A man in Sydney's north-west has died after hitting a tree on Windsor Road in Kellyville.

The accident happened at roughly 7.20am, with the eastbound lanes closed.

Police and emergency crews found a man, believed to be in his 70s, with serious injuries at the scene.

He received some medical attention and CPR, however he died a short time later.

The circumstances of the crash are currently being investigated.

It is believed that he may have suffered a medical episode.

As of 10am, all eastbound lanes have been re-opened, however there are flow-on traffic delays in the area.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

The other accident occurred at Bankstown, with a man being crushed between two trucks.
