Fatal Crash Sows Debris & Doubt In Thurgoona

One person dead and another hospitalised after a fatal single-vehicle crash on Elizabeth Mitchell Drive, near the Riverina Highway on Wednesday night.

Police attended the scene around 10:45pm to where a Ford Focus travelling south, had lost control fitting an embankment before rolling several times.

A 27-year-old Lavington man was pronounced deceased at the scene, while his Albury passenger, was treated by NSW Paramedics before being transported to Albury Hospital with suspected rib fractures.

A crime scene has been established with debris including car parts and personal items strewn across the area.

Police are yet to determine if speed, drugs or alcohol were involved.
