The first and third day of the final Ashes test match to be held at the WACA Ground are already sold out.
General public ticket sales opened at 9am today with day two also close to a sell out.
“The strong sales through the priority period, followed by today’s news of a sell-out, show just how much the Ashes mean to people and, coupled with the opportunity to experience the last instalment of this series at the WACA Ground, it only serves to build our expectations for this historic match.”
- Christina Mitchell, CEO, WACA
The next time the Ashes are held in Perth, it will be staged at the new Perth Stadium, along with the bulk of international cricket and the Big Bash League, dependant on expected demand.
This season's Perth Scorchers games are already locked in for the WACA Ground.
There's still no word on what the official opening event at Perth Stadium will be.
