Victorians have been warned flash flooding is a possibility with 50mm of rain fall expected within an hour on Wednesday.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology other areas of the state can also expect 5mm and 15mm.

Central Victoria is under the most risk of heavy rainfall.

These warnings come as two bodies have just been found in Townsville today following extreme flooding conditions.

Hot temperatures are expected to accompany the showers creating subtropical weather conditions over the next couple of days.

Melbourne’s CBD is forecasting 30C and 31C on Wednesday and Thursday.
