Who knew that Tyler Hubbard’s wife’s words before the Florida Georgia Line boys set out to a writing session would lead to all this.

The duo’s history making song with Bebe Rexha, "Meant to Be," was directly inspired by something Hayley Hubbard said.

"It was my second session of the day and their second session of the day, and they were kind of over it and so was I," Bebe told Billboard.

"Tyler and I sat down, and he was like, 'You know what my just wife told me? She said, 'If it's meant to be, it'll be that we write a hit or not.' And, I said, 'Well that's the song—let's go!' Then the song just poured out."

That song has now earned the country megastars their first GRAMMY® Awards nomination in the prized Best Country Duo/Group Performance category at the The 61st GRAMMY® Awards to be held, February 10.

"This is the biggest nod-of-a-hat nomination that we've had so far," FGL's Brian Kelley shared with   The  Tennessean.   "It feels like hard work paid off. We've wanted to be a part of Grammy night for a long time. To be invited, it's really, really special."

"'Meant to Be' is just undeniable," added FGL's Tyler Hubbard. "It's the longest-reigning No. 1 chart-topping hit of all time. It feels really good to have this acceptance and know that we can show up and talk about how we love doing what we do."

Billboard’s Trailblazer Award recipients reign the year-end Top Country Artists – Duo/Group title for a third year, with “Meant to Be” at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs tally plus Top 5 on all-genre Hot 100 Songs.

Released to both Pop and Country radio under Warner Bros. Records and BMLG Records, the 4X PLATINUM-certified monster smash has surpassed 1 billion total streams worldwide and holds the Billboard Hot Country Songs record for leading 50 weeks straight, an incomparable domination since the chart launched in 1958. “It's a completely unprecedented accomplishment that 106 cumulative weeks at No. 1 – including six total Hot Country Songs toppers: “Cruise”; “Stay”; “This Is will likely never be beaten,” predicted Forbes.

They are also the only Country act to claim 106 cumulative weeks at No. 1 – including six total Hot Country Songs toppers: “Cruise”; “Stay”; “This Is How We Roll”; “Dirt”; “H.O.L.Y.”; “Meant to Be” – since their 2012 breakout. Penned by FGL’s Tyler Hubbard, Rexha, Josh Miller, and David Garcia, “Meant to Be” notched their first No. 1 debut on Hot Country Songs plus secured Rexha as the first solo female to snag the title.

FGL’s brand new steamy single “Talk You Out of It” is burning up the airwaves, as the latest teaser off their much-anticipated fourth studio album on BMLG Records.
