Flying Foxes in Gatton Still Hanging Around

Flying foxes around Gatton are causing headaches for the locals.

A roost has been set up in trees at Tent Hill Creek causing noise and odour issues.

Lockyer Valley Mayor Tanya Milligan says there is not a lot that Council can do about it at the moment.

“They are unpredictable. We still get asked ‘when will they leave’ and we don’t know the answer to that.   It is determined by weather and food sources.  For Council to go in and do anything is difficult.  You can’t go in when there are actually foxes in the roost.” - Mayor Tanya Milligan
