Fremantle has responded to an expletive-laden rant that appears to have come from Shane Yarran’s Facebook account.
Yarran’s astonishing spray — which Triple M has chosen not to publish — included two posts that targeted the culture of the club and specific personalities within it.
Fremantle officials have been unable to get a hold of Yarran to verify the legitimacy of his the posts.
Yarran is believed to be on holiday in the Kimberley.
“The club is aware of comments posted from Shane Yarran’s social media account,” a Fremantle spokesman told News Corp.
“The authenticity of the posts is yet to be verified as being made by Shane and, as such, the club will not make further comment.”
Yarran, who is currently facing two assault charges over separate incidents, retired from the AFL on Monday.
He had played 10 games for the Dockers since being picked at 61 in the 2015 draft.
