Fremantle chief executive Steve Rosich has hit back at recent reports about Lachie Neale, saying some of them are "categorically" incorrect.

ROSICH REPLIES:

Neale has been linked to Brisbane, despite being contracted until the end of 2019, with the Lions' pick four on the table.

But Rosich expressed his confidence in Neale staying on Mix 94.5's Dead Set Legends, saying the 25-year-old hadn't asked for a trade.

"We’re very comfortable where it sits," he told Mix 94.5.

"He’s contracted to us for 2019, and we remain positive it’ll extend well beyond 2019."

Rosich was also asked about a recent report suggesting Ross Lyon "didn't take too kindly" to the talk surrounding a possible move for Neale during their exit meeting.

"I'm glad you asked that," he said.

"There’s a lot of mistruth at this time of year, so categorically no to both questions.

"In fact, the second one, our leaders didn't even have exit meetings with the coaches. So (it's) a time of year where there's plenty of mistruths and unfortunately that’s the case (here)."
