Get Your Red Shells Ready, Mario Kart Is Finally Coming To Smartphones This Year

It's finally happening; one of the greatest gaming side-franchises in history, Mario Kart is coming to smartphones in 2019.

Nintendo took to Twitter last year to announce a mobile version of Mario Kart, aptly named Mario Kart Tour, was in production, and expected to be ready by March 2019.

Nintendo hasn't released any further details besides, or the exact release date yet - but we're expecting somw high-octane raises around Koopa Troopa Beach and Bowser's Castle.

Since it's initial release on Super Nintendo (SNES) to it's newest iteration on the Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart has been favourite amongst gamers worldwide.

Here's hoping Mario Kart Tour lives up to the hype.
