Gill Speaks On The Opportunity For More Marquee Matches Outside Of VIC

AFL Chief Executive Gillon McLachlan joined Triple M Perth's Breakfast show, sharing his views on making the game a more nationally inclusive spectacle.

The AFL's current contract has the Grand Final venue signed off to be at the MCG until at least 2057, but Gil understands the ever changing landscape. 

Speaking on adding more marquee fixturing to stadiums like Perth, McLachlan is bullish about the idea.

"It's certainly now on the drawing board. Look at the energy and success of Sunday night, the Brownlow."

"Conversations are happening. We're a national game .. I think there's lots of possibilities."
