A 13-year-old girl’s recovering in a Sydney hospital, after being trampled by a horse in Mangrove Mountain.

Paramedics were called to Wiseman’s Ferry Road around 2:20 this afternoon, finding the girl had come off the horse before she was trodden on and kicked in the head.

The Ambulance chopper took her to Westmead in a stable condition, and ambos say while she complained of neck and head pain she was conscious and breathing while being lifted.

It’s understood the teen was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Two hours later, the Toll Air Ambulance was back on the Central Coast - they had to drop a paramedic onto Lobster beach around 4:30pm when a woman in her 40s suffered a suspected broken ankle while walking.

She was then airlifted to a nearby oval and driven to Gosford Hospital around an hour later.
