Government Accused Of Blocking Wagga Hospital Probe
Mookhey Calls For Answers
The state Opposition has accused the government of blocking a motion in the Upper House, calling for an investigation into budgeting and staffing at Wagga Hospital.
Labor Spokesperson for Wagga, Daniel Mookhey, says he moved the motion in response to reports of an $8 Million budget blowout, and a senior recruitment freeze resulting in the prolonged vacancy of the position of Director of Nursing and Midwifery.
Mr Mookhey says when hospital insiders are saying that senior management have called a crisis meeting, the public deserves to know what is going on.
