Conditional approval's been given for a new motorsport complex at Wakefield.
The Joint Regional Planning Panel last night gave the $77 million project the go ahead- as long as noise issues are addressed.
"We've got a bit of work to do over the next little while to obviously stick to those conditions in order to get the full green light, but technically it's been approved," BlackRock Motor Park CEO Tony Palmer said.
It'll include a 5.5km racing track, restaurant, function centre and accomodation.
The project has been in the pipeline for five years and will be a welcome addition for the Hunter's motorsport enthusiasts.
