A Pawsome Fundraising Effort for a Worthy Cause:

Residents of the Central West have raised over 5 thousand dollars, for the Pet Foundation’s National Seeing Eye Dog Appeal.

The money raised by the community in Orange and the surrounds, will help train 13 puppies to be Seeing Eye Dogs for people who are blind or have low vision.

It takes two years of intensive training before the dogs can graduate. They’ll learn how to socialise in the first year, before they undertake an intensive 16- 20 week program, which costs up to $ 50, 000.
