"Gutted": Stephen Quartermain Reacts To Isaac Smith's Departure

Channel 10 spring carnival host Stephen Quartermain says he's "gutted" by the decision to see Isaac Smith leave the Hawks.

Smith exercised his rights as an unrestricted free agent on Friday, joining the Cats on a two-year deal to chase another premiership.

Quarters - a Hawks tragic - joined Billy Brownless and Dale Thomas for Triple M's Rush Hour on Friday ahead of Melbourne Cup weekend, and said the departure of a three-time premiership player was hard to swallow.

"I'm not happy. I am absolutely gutted," he explained.

"Isaac Smith is Hawthorn, so I'm not sure what's happened..."
