Giants' star calls out teammates fashion

There is no alliances when it comes to the fashion stakes at the GWS Giants as Poppy and Leigh found out this morning.

Former Wagga footballer, and now GWS Giant, Harry Himmelberg likes to think of himself as one of the best dressed at the club and was quick to throw teammate, and fellow Wagga son Harry Perryman under the bus.

“The worst, there’s a few candidates for that as well but I reckon it wouldn’t be hard to go past another Wagga boy, Harry Perryman. He’s got no idea, half the time he wears his Giants training kit around casually on his day off” Himmelberg said this morning.

“I think it’s just the fact that they’re so open to different aspects of life coming into it, whether it be like, the fashion in the tunnels or the different sponsors and stuff like that really having a big say in how things work”.

“Probably not looking too far ahead at that, but right now I would probably say that there’s no reason for me to want to move clubs”.

If the AFL make the move in the future to allow players a little more freedom off the field, fans can also look forward to seeing Himmelberg and teammate Tim Taranto excel in the fashion stakes.

“Best dressed is a tough one… Myself and Tim Taranto were in LA and New York having a field day on the shoes and stuff, so we would have to be in the top five”.

Himmelberg, his teammates and their daring fashion choices will be in Wagga to take on the Tigers in their Marsh Community Series pre-season match on March 8th.
