Having Doubts About The COVID Safe App? Here's What You Need To Know!

A lot of people are questioning if they should download the COVID safe app or not and we have some information to put your mind at ease. 

Digi joined Cogho & Kylie this morning, saying the app isn't designed to track people as it uses bluetooth. 

He said to think of bluetooth like a handshake. If your phone comes within 10 metres of another phone theres a handshake and that's what they're tracking. 

The moment someone gets coronavirus they will look at who the phone has has come in contact with in the last 14 days then they'll be able to send that notification out

"It would be great if everyone in Australia had it," Digi said.  

The more people that have the app downloaded and bluetooth turned on means we will know who's most likely to have to coronavirus 

The app is an additional tool that the government can use to help keep people safe.

Digi said that Facebook would have more of your data than the COVID safe app and that other countries overseas are impressed with the app.
