The Hawthorn Football Club want to build a world-class training centre at their Dingley base according to Triple M Footy’s Jay-Z Clark.

Jay-Z reported on the Herald Sun’s website this morning that the new training centre will ideally be ready for use in 2022 and will serve both the womens and mens AFL teams.

The facility is poised to be one of the most pre-eminent facilities in Australian sport — it spreads across 80 acres and is worth a whopping $130 million. An MCG-sized ground, elite aquatic and gym facilities and a 500-seat stand are just some of the features it will include.

One of the major objectives of the facility is to improve the community involvement with the club.

“It is going to be a great community out there in Dingley and there is going to be so much community support and activities and areas where the community can get involved in the facility as well,” small forward Luke Breust said on Melbourne radio this morning.
