One of Australia's most notorious serial killers, Ivan Milat, is dead.
Serving seven life sentences for the murders of seven backpackers, Milat died in Sydney's Long Bay Prison after being diagnose with oesophagus and stomach cancer in May.
Milan's murderous spree from 1989-1993 is one of the darkest stories in Australia's criminal history.
One man who managed to escape the clutches of Milat was Colin Powis, from Great Britain.
