Since the shock news of Tim Paine’s resignation as Australian Test captain sports pundits  are split on who should lead the nation into the Ashes beginning on December 8th at the Gabba.

Vice-captain Pat Cummins remains firm favourite to become the nations first fast-bowling test capitan in 65 years however reverting to Steve Smith’s leadership would be seen as the sensible and stable option.

This morning on The Big Breakfast lifelong cricket tragic Marto, who was in the room for Kim Hughes’ spectacular resignation in 1984 n revealed his pick for the ‘second highest office in the nation’ but not before calling out the ridiculous double-standards we hold our sporting heroes to.
