Brisbane’s ability to secure young talent in the past has lamented the club’s fans for years. The likes of Walker, Walsh & Fifita continue to haunt the Broncos as they turn in stellar performances week in and week out. However, the recent signing of Souths skipper Adam Reynolds would have given hope to beleaguered supporters that recruitment and retention committee have got their act together. This then begs the questions, how did Nicho Hynes get away?

The Broncos, only weeks ago, believed that they were in the box seat to sign the young Storm fullback only to watch as the Central Coast product announced he would be taking his talents to the Shire in 2022.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast this morning NRL insider Dobbo told listeners that the Broncos, despite their confidence in bring Hynes to Red Hill, had to make the responsible decision for their salary cap.

“Brisbane aren’t going start throwing money, they have not going that money in the cap”
