Head over to Griffith Pioneer Park Museum's 31st annual Australia Day Breakfast on Saturday, January 26!

Museum staff and volunteers, with the support of local business houses, will provide a feast for locals and welcome this year’s Australia Day Ambassador, Macinley Butson, 2018 NSW Young Australian of the Year and Chair of the Australia Day Working Group, Councillor Christine Stead.

Regional Arts and Museum Manager, Raina Savage, said the breakfast is a community event only made possible by the generosity of the local businesses who donate the breakfast goods to the Museum.

"Australia Day at the Museum is always a fantastic event - there will be the ever popular train rides and tours, old-fashioned children’s games and Sing Australia, along with Jeff Gardner performing,” Ms Savage said.

“Our volunteers will be there to ensure that the community are all well looked after and start the day off on the right foot.”

Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-9:30am and costs $5 for a light (continental) breakfast or $10 for a full breakfast of cereal, fruit, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, eggs and toast. Families of 2 adults & 2 children can enjoy the full breakfast for $30. There's no need to book, either!

Griffith Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi said the traditional Australia Day Breakfast at the Museum is a great way to celebrate all that is Australian.

“Come along, bring your family and friends and enjoy the lifestyle, friendship and picturesque setting that makes Griffith Pioneer Park Museum such a great place to visit,” Cr Dal Broi said.

“Following breakfast, you can make your way to the Regional Theatre for the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony which will commence at 9.30am.”
