The Bruce Highway has been closed at Seymour River north of Ingham due to heavy overnight falls.

Water is currently over the bridge as of 10am, with areas around Ingham seeing up to 230 millimetres since 9am Thursday.

Meanwhile, there's a Minor Flood Warning active for the Bohle River.

The river at Mt Bohle is expected to reach minor levels of 4.25 metres with more rain expected.

Forecaste, Rick Threlfall says the heavy falls are being caused by a trough heading north.

As always, remember that if it's flooded, forget it.
