With COVID-19 sweeping the nation and keeping many of us indoors, some of the most vulnerable Australians are still out there battling the virus on a daily basis. 

The Cancer Council have reported that the virus has dramatically affected their ability to transport patients to and from their treatment, losing more than 60 drivers in some regional & rural areas. 

Unfortunately, this is as a direct result of the virus given 90% of volunteer drivers are over the age of 60 and are well within the high-risk age group. 

The NSW Cancer Council's Christine Williams, spoke with Leigh this morning about the detrimental affect the virus is having on their patients ability to seek out life-saving treatments. 

Christine tells us how many drivers are required to ensure those affected are getting the treatment they need, how Australians can o their part to help, what temporary arrangements they currently have in place & how long they are expected to last.
