Teachers across NSW this morning took time away from their various schools to meet and discuss their current salary and working conditions.

To find out more, Poppy & Leigh got in touch with Organiser for the Riverina branch of the NSW Teachers Federation, John Pratt, who elaborated on the current working conditions of teachers throughout the state, the obvious lack of resources for public institutions and what needs to change to enable our children access to the best education possible. 

John acknowledges the undeniable imbalance between disadvantaged students and private or independent institutions, how this affects our children's learning potential and how the 60,000 teachers voting on a new award could provide a solution to the issue.
