Historic Roxy Theatre Receives Solid Investment

Member for Murray Austin Evans has announced a hefty sum of $3.9 million for the Leeton Shire Council towards the refurbishment of Roxy Theatre. 

This investment is part of round two of the $100 million Regional Cultural fund from the NSW Government. 

Leeton Roxy Community Theatre Advisory Committee Chair Cr Michael Kidd says he is excited for the new opportunities the investment will offer local artists. 

The project will see the Roxy become more versatile, accessible and compliant while protecting its heritage significance. Importantly it will also provide local and regional artists with new opportunities to showcase innovative and quality works and allow visitors to experience a diverse range of arts and activities while generating social, economic and tourism benefits across the Western Riverina region.
