Holbrook Plays Down Brandon Smith Rumours

Titans coach Justin Holbrook isn’t wasting time with rumours around the club’s interest in Melbourne playmaker Brandon Smith, playing down speculation this afternoon on The Rush Hour Queenslander.

Smith, who is not contractually available until 2023, has been linked to the Bulldogs and also the Titans but Holbrook has told Dobbo that his focus isn’t on the Storm Premiership forward however he’s pleased that Gold Coast has become a somewhat of a destination club.

“good news for our club is players are showing interest to come here and that wasn’t the case 12 months ago…it was a real battle, so I see it as a positive”

The 1-1 Titans face the Cowboys on Sunday evening in Townsville but will be without dynamic five-eighth Ash Taylor who will miss 3-4 weeks after having surgery on his broken hand on Monday sustained in last week’s win over the Broncos.
