If we weren't already talking about the swimming world championships, we are now; the latest in a series of controversies has seen Queensland swimmer Shayna Jack revealed to have tested positive for a banned substance.

The 20-year-old defended herself in a lengthy essay posted to Instagram on Sunday evening, saying that she was already in a "fight to prove my innocence".

But is it possible to take Ligandrol without realising? Sports sciences expert Kate Hazard joined Triple M to explain how easy it actually is.

But just because it's possible, doesn't mean it's forgivable, Hazard continued. 

"Now, in Australia, 'I didn't know' isn't enough of an excuse," she said on Monday morning.
