It appears the LNP Government's budget move to reduce fuel prices by 22c seems to be paid for by our Truckies & farmers.
Paddy from 107.7 Triple M’s Paddy and Rob Palmer explained ‘In the budget this year, the move saved motorists 22 cents per litre while filling up, but the savings that were previously on offer for truck drivers were cut short’
The move will effectively make many day-to-day expenses more expensive, like groceries, due to them having to be transported by truck.
An owner of a local trucking company, whose bills have increased by $5k a month, joined Paddy and Rob Palmer this morning to share his experience. ‘To find that out is a real kick in the guts’ he said.
