How The Federal Budget Will Impact Karratha

The Pilbara has emerged as a winner in the Federal Budget with $1.2 billion of investment on the cards. 

The major investment aims to turn the Pilbarra into a "major hub for low emissions industries".

The $1.2 billion investment is part of a larger pool of cash set aside to help grow regional areas. 

This includes: 

- Bringing low emission metals and iron ore production projects to the region.

- Investment in Port Hedland's Lumsden Point and Dampier port. 

- Upgrading the power grid.
