Port Adelaide may have been dealt a blow on the eve of the season, with skipper Travis Boak battling a quadriceps injury.
Boak copped an accidental corkie from fellow midfielder Ollie Wines early in the game, hurting his quad.
He tried to fight through it, and was spotted by Triple M callers on a bike on the boundary trying to warm up.
But he was spotted in the third quarter with his upper leg iced and strapped.
Triple M boundary rider Theo Doropoulos noticed the injury.
"Travis Boak looks to be done for the day," he said.
"His left quad is heavily iced and strapped...one to keep a watch on over the next week or so.
"You'd imagine he recovers from a cork, but he is done (for today)."
