When you’re the King of the Mountain you can do whatever the hell you want, just ask Chaz Mostert.

After following the lead of last year’s winner Shane van Gisbergen, Mostert performed post-race victory lap and burnout that may leave him a little lighter in the hip pocket, not that he cares.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast with Marto and Margaux this morning Mostert and veteran co-driver Lee Holdsworth told the hosts that the little stunt was more than worth it following yesterday’s emphatic victory.

“I had to slip a few pineapples to a few people” Mostert laughed.

Holdsworth and Mostert took out yesterday’s Bathurst 1000 at Mt. Panorama ahead of Cameron Waters and James Moffat. The effort made more incredible after Mostert suffered a mid-race catastrophe that saw him drop as low as twelfth before pulling off the miraculous comeback.
