After the tragic loss of junior apprentice Christopher Cassaniti, many have called for an in-depth investigation into widespread noncompliance of safety requirements by worksites across Sydney

After a callout on Triple M’s Moonman In The Morning, the floods of calls poured in from workers across the city fearing for their wellbeing every day on site due to what they claim is a blatant disregard of safety protocols in order to boost productivity. With one tradie, who wished to remain anonymous, going as far to say that in the twenty years he has worked in the construction industry, he has never seen a government safety officer.

Other callers recalled the countless times they have seen extremely close calls or serious injury on the job, all claiming very little precautions are taken to ensure the workers welfare.
