“I wouldn’t change it” | Te’o Opens Up Fight That Saw Him Dropped from England RWC Side
THE RUSH HOUR WITH QUEENSLANDER
Broncos veteran forward Ben Te’o has recounted the moment his international rugby career changed forever when he was sensationally dumped from England’s 2019 World Cup squad after dust-up with teammate Mike Brown.
An ill-fated team bonding session in the northern Italian city of Treviso saw things get heated during the booze-fuelled evening, leading to coach Eddie Jones dropping the pair ahead of the World Cup in Japan which would see England make the final.
“He (Eddie Jones) told me, I can’t take you to the world cup”
Te’o, whose career took him to France, Japan before returning to the NRL with the Broncos told The Rush Hour Queenslander that if he had his time over again, he wouldn’t change his actions.
“I can’t regret it…sometimes you’re just the way you are” Te’o told Dobbo and Elliot.
