Twelve students recently represented GOTAFE at this year's World Skills in Sydney. The National competition that saw over 500 competitors battle it out in 60 trades and skills areas was topped off with an award ceremony that recognised the best of the best.

GOTAFE students Mark Williams and Hannah Wilson were among those presented with medals.

Mark, who recently had is Apprenticeship signed off 16 months early, is employed at  Mick Hogan Excavations in Numurkah. Mark was awarded the Bronze medal for Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, positioning him as the best apprentice in Victoria and 3rd overall in Australia.

Hannah of Bright Eyes, Shepparton took home the Bronze medal for Hairdressing, an amazing achievement for a 2nd year Apprentice.

GOTAFE trainers and support staff, along with a number of the competitor's family, friends and employers made the trek to Sydney for the biannual event.

The entire GOTAFE Team performed exceptionally well.
