This morning Poppy & Leigh caught up with Inspector Adrian Telfer following an increase in crime and robberies across Wagga throughout the week.
Among the incidents included an armed hold up at a grocery store in Lake Albert that turned into a car chase, and the armed robbery of a senior citizen in a local market place.
Inspector Telfer addressed whether this kind of behaviour is normal for this time of year, and where the police are in terms of identifying those responsible. He also gave advice to residents on how to handle similar situations.
