Legendary media trailblazer, businesswoman, best-selling author, committed community and welfare contributor and 2013 Australian of the Year Ita Buttrose will visit Toowoomba in support of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation in July.

The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation’s second Women of Strength luncheon will be held at Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport on Friday, 7 July.

Twice voted Australia’s most admired woman, Ms Buttrose has seen a lot of firsts in her career.

She was the youngest ever Editor of The Australian Women's Weekly, the founding editor of Cleo, the first woman to ever edit a major metropolitan newspaper in Australia as Editor-in-Chief of the Sydney Daily and Sunday Telegraphs, and the first woman director of News Limited.

Over 450 guests are expected to attend the three-course luncheon and listen to Ms Buttrose’s inspirational presentation.

The funds raised on the day will be used to support the Toowoomba Hospital’s midwifery department.

The inaugural Women of Strength lunch in 2016 sold out in just four days, so all ladies in the region who are interested in attending this event are being encouraged to get in quick and purchase tickets.

Tickets are $140 per person (or table of 10 for $1400), which includes a three course lunch and beverages, and can be booked at www.trybooking.com/OMGI.
