Intruder Fatally Stabbed In Frankston Home Invasion

A man has died after forcing his way into a property in Frankston and confronting the occupants.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman reported of a scuffle inside the Ebdale Street home about 11:20pm on Thursday where the intruder was allegedly stabbed in the chest during a fight with residents.

The man died at the scene.

It remains unclear as to whether the victim and attacker were known to each other, or if any charges have been made.

Homicide squad detectives and police officers were seen early Friday morning at the crime scene.

Residents are assisting authorities with their investigations.
