ARLC Chairman Peter V’Landys will enjoy the Queens Birthday public holiday off today as the heat will surely come for him tomorrow following another weekend of farce surrounding head-high contact in the game.

Broncos forward Kobe Hetherington was sent off in the sixtieth minute of Saturday night’s clash with Canberra for an incident that was deemed to have made contact ‘direct to the head with the shoulder’ however the nineteen-year-old will only be reprimanded with a $1500 fine.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast with Marto and Margaux this morning NRL Insider Dobbo told listeners that the adjudication of the rule is ruining the game.

“If I’m a league fan and I’m watching that…it ruined the game”

“If you send a bloke off and then he gets a $1500 fine, that’s the joke”

Pressure continues to mount on the Broncos as they remain anchored to second last on the ladder after the 38-16 loss. Kevin Walters grace period as coach will last until the end of the year according to Dobbo but as he warned 2022 will see the demand for results greatly increase.
