IVF SPECIAL: Listeners Share Their Heart Wrenching, Rollercoaster Journeys

It's 40 years since Australia welcomed its first IVF miracle into the world and this morning, Clairsy, Matt and Kymba asked for stories from the listeners to share their IVF experience.

To say our phones went into meltdown is an understatement.

We heard about all sorts of experiences, both good and bad, and it's simply more proof that modern science can be a wonderful thing for many.

Andrew from North Perth: "My daughter's 21 now, it was a horrible journey for us, we lost a lot of unborn children, but with that last egg that took, we got our beautiful daughter Diana"

Jo from Ellenbrook: "I actually had a negative experience, we weren't successful. We tried for a couple of years including with a donor egg, I just decided it was enough and it wasn't happening and I was sick of being a pin cushion."
