The M1 is a carpark yet again this morning, this time northbound at Reedy Creek.

Traffic was backed up about 5kms after a car and trailer jack-knifed near Exit 85 just after 6am.

Motorists were being encouraged to take the long way around where possible while the vehicle has now been loaded onto a tow truck and carted away.

Thankfully it looks like no one was injured.

The traffic woes come less than a day after former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett slammed the M1, after he got stuck on the notorious motorway while travelling to the Gold Coast yesterday.
