Jack Watts has described the last 24 hours as “shocking” after a video of him snorting a white powdered substance off a women’s chest at Oktoberfest went viral on Sunday afternoon.
In his first public statement since the footage leaked, Watts ensured that the white powder was not an illegal substance.
“Obviously it’s been a pretty shocking 24 hours, that’s for sure,” Watts said.
“I’m trying to keep some sort of perspective in the whole situation in the fact that I wasn’t doing something illegal.”
“I’m obviously really disappointed in myself… The pain and burden I’ve caused for the club, the supporters, my team mates and coaches is probably what hurts me the most.”
The Port Adelaide forward also maintained that the footage was not taken recently.
“I’ve made a lot of changes since the video.”
